This Privacy Policy explains how the BUSZ mobile application (“App”, “Service”) handles information. The App is developed and operated by BUSZ Transit Solutions (“we”, “our”, or “us”), a brand of MyTuitioninnPro Education Pvt. Ltd. The App is provided free of charge and is supported by advertising.
By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
We do not collect or store any personally identifiable information to use the App. The App's core features do not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide your name, email address, or phone number. The only information we hold is what you voluntarily provide if you choose to join the optional community leaderboard, described in Community Contributions & Leaderboard below — and even then we intentionally avoid personally identifying data.
With your permission, the App accesses your device's location only while the App is open (foreground use) for a single purpose: to show bus stops near your current position. Your own location:
You can enable or disable location access at any time through your device's system settings. Disabling location will not stop you from using the App, but the “nearby stops” feature may not work. Note: this applies to tracking your own position. If you voluntarily contribute a bus stop or trip through the leaderboard feature, the coordinates of the stop/trip you choose to submit are sent to us — see Community Contributions & Leaderboard.
Any routes, stops, or bookmarks you save are stored locally on your device. This information stays on your device and is not uploaded to us. You can remove it at any time within the App or by uninstalling the App.
BUSZ includes an optional community feature that lets users contribute transit data — such as adding bus stops, trips, and buses, or giving feedback on existing data — and see their contributions recognized on a leaderboard. This feature is entirely voluntary. You can use all of the App's core features without joining it, and you are never required or pressured to participate.

Because we intentionally avoid collecting identifying information, a pseudonymous username generally cannot be linked back to you by us. Keeping your username non-identifying is your responsibility.
Deleting your contributor profile: you can delete your contributor account at any time, which removes your username and leaderboard standing. However, the transit data you contributed (such as stops, trips, and corrections) may be retained in an anonymized form — no longer associated with your username — so that maps and schedules remain accurate and useful for the community.
The App uses the following third-party services provided by Google. These services may collect certain information (such as device identifiers, advertising identifiers, app usage events, and general diagnostic data) in accordance with their own privacy policies. We do not control how these providers process data.
The App displays ads through Google AdMob to keep the App free. Depending on your settings and region, ads may be personalized using an advertising identifier. You can opt out of ad personalization or reset your advertising ID via your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads; iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking / Apple Advertising).
We do not maintain our own logs of your personal data. However, in the event of an error or for analytics purposes, the third-party services listed above may automatically collect limited technical information such as device model, operating system version, app version, and the date and time of use. This information is handled by those providers under their respective policies.
Our website (separate from the App) offers an optional contact form. If you choose to use it, the name, email address, and message you submit are processed by our form provider, Formspree, and delivered to us by email solely so we can respond to your enquiry. We do not use this information for marketing and do not share it with unrelated third parties.
Because we do not collect personal data through the App, we do not use it for profiling, marketing, or sale. The limited data collected by the third-party services above is used only to operate essential functions of the App (showing ads, delivering notifications, and understanding aggregate usage to improve the Service).
We do not retain personally identifiable information from the App. Data saved on your device (favorites/bookmarks) remains until you delete it or uninstall the App. If you join the community leaderboard, your username and contribution records are retained while your contributor profile is active; if you delete that profile, your username is removed and your contributed transit data may be kept in anonymized form to maintain data accuracy. Data collected by third-party providers is retained according to their policies. Contact-form messages are kept only as long as needed to respond to and follow up on your enquiry.
Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable data-protection laws, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and, where relevant, the GDPR. These may include the right to access, correct, or delete personal data and to withdraw consent. Since we do not hold personal data from the App, you can exercise most of these rights directly by:

We value your trust and use commercially reasonable measures to protect any information involved in providing the Service. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, processing the data of a minor (under 18) requires verifiable parental consent; because the App does not collect personal data, no such data is knowingly processed. If you believe a child has provided personal information through any part of our Service, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
The App or website may contain links to third-party sites or services that we do not operate. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, and we encourage you to review their policies.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
